Home Based Primary Care

Service Description

Medicare has always covered home visits for seniors that have difficulty getting to the doctor's office and are considered "homebound." During the COVID pandemic, Medicare has waived this requirement so that all Medicare beneficiaries are eligible to receive primary care services at home. However, due to the nature of home visits and the time required to travel to a patient's home, most home based primary care practices charge a travel fee or convenience fee for the home visit.
